Hello to all,

Finally the paint work on my scratch built A7V Tank is finished. There are only some superficial details left to do.

Hope you like it.

That is glorious!! Did you take any photos during construction or would they give away "trade secrets" ?

Hey Peter,

That looks awesome.  Can we get some more pics - front/rear etc?
Also, love the colours that you have used.

What brand and colour names did you pick?  After reading through your comments on my Flakpanzer pos I might just have to go down that path.

Cheers
Greg

Thanks guys.

To Greg:
Concerning the colours I have to add some specifications:The so called Buntfarbenanstrich was done by the BAKP 20 in Charleroi. According to Rainer Strasheim, who helped me in a great way, the BAKP used a very unique mid green hue as base colour. The red brown is described as a vivid color too. Therefore the camo scheme on my tank is an interpretation of the 'Charleroi-way' and is not unconditionally suited for the German army in general.

My colours are a mixture of Tamiya Acrylic Paints and are based on the German RAL-colour chart system. Therefore it is difficult to describe here the exact mixture.

I for you would take Muthers and Landers researches as starting point. There is a lot of information on this site, IE. Colours used on WW1 German Army Equipment.

Cheers, Peter

Gorgeus Pete! This is an inspiration to all modellers of the A7V.

I especially love the weathering effects.
