one of the forums most knowledgable members firsttankcrews (aka Steven Pope) is giving a talk in Lincoln this Wednesday evening.

Thanks for "biggin' up" my trip to the home of the tank. smile

During the evening, I will be showing several "never seen before" family photos, reveal a local hero and provide an interesting link to Flirt II - now returned to the place of her birth

I have real doubts that the tank at Lincoln is the same tank that bore the name Flirt II at Cambrai - but don't mention that in Lincoln, it'll start a riot! Good luck for the talk.

Hi - the last of the 2011 season of talks will be held on Thursday 10 November.

Ian Walden will speak on the East Africa Campaign and David Hibbitt on the work of the Great War Archaeology Group.

Please note we have a new venue  - The Royal Naval Association Club, Coulson Road, Lincoln.  (between Boultham Avenue and Boultham Park Road.)

Tickets £5 inc light refreshments - 7pm for 7.30pm start.
