Recently I had a discussion about incidents during the Kapp-Putsch in mid-march 1920 in Dresden. During a battle between Reichswehr and left-wing protesters a Panzerwagen or Panzerauto with name "Siegfried" was blown up. One report claims "Siegfried" was blotch camouflaged and had a revolving tower. One of my partners in discussion did doubt that the Reichswehr had any Panzerwagen in its normal structure. I think this claim is wrong because I know that Artillery Regiments had former K-Flak (sometimes re-built) in its structure. As well I think I remember that every Reichswehr-Brigade had one L.K.Z. (Leichter Kampfwagen-Zug) in its strength. So, I think "Siegfried" was part of this structure and not an armored car coming from any Freikorps.
I would like to get answers to my following questions:
1) Is anybody able to tell me more about Panzerwagen or Panzerautos in the structure of the Uebergangsheer, especially in March 1920?
2) What type of Panzerwagen one could expect to have been with Reichswehr-Brigade 12 in Dresden in March 1920?
3) Does anybody know more about "Siegfried"?
Thanks in advance!
