Dear All,

I am recently trying to model WW1 railway locomotives and rolling stock on 45 mm gauge track. the problem i have is i have no measurements for any of them. Can anybody help with drawings of all or at least some of the locomotives and rolling stock of WW1.

If you can help please let me know. As i have tried everywhere and have got nothing.no Once i have enough and can build them in 45 mm i wish to build a baldwin in 5 inch and a protected simplex in 7.25".

So please let me know.

Cheers,

Keith.

The first place you should start is the excellent WDLR site at http://www.wdlr.org.uk/wdlr/

Now that post worked I shall expand a bit more...

The are are several books with drawings of French, British and American WW1 locos and stock:

1. Christian Cenac, La Voie de 60 Militaire de la Guerre de 14-18 en France

2. Richard Dunn, Narrow Gauge to No Mans Land http://www.camdenmin.co.uk/railways-of-world-war-1-world/narrow-gauge-to-no-mans-land-p-2703.html

There were also articles on the WD Baldwin 4-6-0 in "Datafile - Baldwin 60cm 4-6-0T Loco" Model Railway Constructor Feb 1983

and the WD Hunslet 4-6-0 in WD Hunslet 4-6-0 Model Railways April 1976 Foldout p185

Trust this helps
