New Decal Sheet: RCW Markings!
Permalink Closed

The small line of Landships Decals are slowly groing. Added to the range now is a set of 1/72 scale decals for WW1 Russian & Russian Civil War AFV's. The set has been put together by Michel Boer, and in my opinion it's the best in the whole range!

Very nice work, Peter (and Michel)!

They're coming on in leaps and bounds.

Great Job Peter and Michel. Have you given any thought in doing a few in 1/35 scale??

Hadn't thought of doing 1/35 scale actually.... Probably because I don't build it myself. However, technically it's possible to enlarge the designs and print them 1/35 scale. But because they're bigger, I obviously can't put as much markings on one sheet of decals as I can with 1/72 scale. Also, I wouldn't know to which size to enlarge them...
We're working first on some new projects now in our free time, but possibly in the future we might do some 1/35 decals. I should discuss that with Peter, but I hope I don't dissappoint you too much if I say that I don't expect to do anything on that scale in the next year....
I thought, by the way, that there would be decal sets available in 1/35 scale?

Michel.

Excellent RCW decals!!  Once the holidays end, I'll have to order some of these awesome decals from T&T.

An idea for a set of decals.  You've done some RCW decals with this new release - what about providing RCW decals for the Emhar Mk.IV?  Or does your Mk.IV sheet contain Russian/RCW decals?

Just a thought...

Yes, Michel Boer is already working on some Whippet RCW markings. We don't know if they are to be part of another RCW sheet, or, most likely a special Whippet sheet.

Michel will do most of the actual designing from now on, which is great, as he is in my humble opinion very good at it! He will be a partner.

Actually I think it would be a piece of cake to do it in 1/35. The originals are all there in Core Draw format, and it just takes a change in size. We'll see...

OK, 1/35 should be possible to do, but I'll need some time on that as I'm working on other designs first. Next to that, I have no idea which vehicles are available as models in 1/35 scale. Could anyone shed some light on that please?

Matt, you asked for MK-IV decals for the Russian Civil War. As far as my knowledge goes, only MK-V's were sent to Russia and served with White, Red, Estonian and Latvian forces. If you have any photo's of MK-IV's in Russia, I'll be more than delighted to see those.

All the best,
Michel.

Whoops!  Sorry, I thought there were Mk.IV.  Even so, Mk.V would be great as well.  Anything Russian.

I've been looking around on the Landships site and noticed also models of the Renault FT 17 and the MK-V. If anyone can provide me with a scale drawing of the MK-V, I can do something on that too, instead of the markings I made for the Austins.

Michel.
