Adrians were first used by Russians on the Western Front and in Macedonia. Later they were used on the Eastern Front (since the beginning of Brusilov Offensive in 1916) and first troops which received them were Russian Imperial Guards. Unfortunately I don't know the numbers, but I guess that only a very small number of Russian troops on the Eastern Front used Adrians. They were given to Russians free of charge. It is interesting that also some lower quality German troops on the Eastern Front fought using Pickelhauben, they were not given steel helmets even in 1918.
In Russian army many soldiers thought that those who use steel helmets are cowards, while those who refuse to use them are brave. And officers assumed that this attitude helps to create elan.

I know there was a posting for pictures of Russian troops wearing the Adrian helmet. Well I found another in the book "Red Empire" Gwyneth Hughes & Simon Welfare page 48 has a picture of red troops in red square sometime in 1918 with 2 soldiers wearing Adrian helmets sitting on a garford armored car.
