Gentlemen,

In the modeling section of this forum I had three EXTREMELY KIND gentlemen  reply to my post: lots of questions!.  I have tried five times to say thank you to these fine gentlemen, but my thank-you note never gets on the forumconfuse.  I was wondering why this is.  Please tell me if I am doing anything wrong or misbehaving in any way.  If the leader of this forum sees this post, and wonders which one of my 5 thank-you posts to put on the forum, please do the latest (5th) one

Thank you very much for your time!!

Three posts approved for viewing, previously invisible except for moderators, who have no way to be alerted about it (and the supermoderator seems to have encountered some kryptonite) - Stormtroop, your registration has evidently not been completed and yes (as I understand it), you should receive a registration e-mail to complete the process. The most common cause of failure to receive that is through the diversion of that message to your spam/junk mail folder by an over-zealous mail provider reacting to the links in the message. The next most common is a misspelled e-mail address (some "copy and paste" the e-mail address into the "confirm your e-mail address" box rather than re-type it, just sayin' and, you guessed it, we have no way to see any "non-delivery" messages either.

Goodness knows where your other five thank you messages might be, since you are apparently not fully "signed" up we can't blanket-search for them either. They will be found. Ah, of course, right in the section you said they would be in and the last one approved, others deleted as requested. Well, no, they say some different things and they can all stay unless you particularly want the first four deleted. It remains a deep mystery how come your first post was not set to "invisible" also, allowing FR73, CharlieC and Paul B to respond (yes they are most kind and helpful). Maybe the first post is a "free-hit" with subsequent ones requiring registration (in which case an anti-spam, flooding control, the forum host seems to tinker with such from time to time but, you guessed it, we don't see any notifications about that either).

Sorry about all of this - can understand how frustrating it is. Whatever the Latin is for "We Try", that's our motto. Except I guess that would be translated as "We Test". Well, we do that too, but we don't try to. If you can't find your (I suppose) missing registration e-mail and if you can't edit your "credentials" and re-submit them then I can only suggest re-registration. You will probably need another member-name and/or different e-mail address (if the original one was your real one).

Steve.
