Someone has access to a Mark IV tank?

Hi,

after purchasing a copy of the Owner's Workshop Manual about the Mark IV tank by David Fletcher I found that I could build a really well detailed and accurate model of the tank, using the original blueprints in the book. I've started working on a virtual 3D-model in CAD to base the model on, but the problem is that the original drawings contain actually too much information in such a small area and I needed to compare it to pictures. Unfortunately for some areas I'm not able to find suitable photos, could someone help me with detail pictures?

The current regions of interest are:

- petrol tank

- roof

- lower inside of chain roller housings in the areas of the chain roller clamps.

- track guide plates

Any help would be appreciated!

Best regards,

Thorsten

There was a thread on this topic a few months ago - conclusion is that the holes are covered.

Attached is an image of "Grit" at the AWM showing the underside of the tank from the rear. You can see one of the cover plates just behind

the cross member.

The images of Grit may be useful - AMMS Brisbane

Regards,

Charlie

Hi,

can someone answer me the following question?:

The assembly drawing of the armor plates (inside view) given in the above mentioned book shows some holes in the inside vertical armor plates directly below the floor of the vehicle:

Are these holes visible in the final tank, or are they covered? Can someone help me with a photo?

To show that it's not without reason for me to ask, here are two renders of the current state of my 3D-model:

Best regards,
