Question on "flimsies"
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

I'm looking for info on the sizes of 1 and 2 gallon cans so that I can scratchbuild my own in 1/35 scale. Any help on this would be much appreciated

I hope this photo may be of use. No dimensions but it does have a person for scale reference and it shows the cans from a variety of angles.

Hi Mark,

Many Thanks for the picture, I'm sure I can work out the size from the many angles shown and from the "average" tommy next to them.

No worries. I'd say that the Tommy would scale out at about 5' 8" to 5' 9", he looks reasonably tall. In the large picture I cropped, there was no other object or person close enough to get a better sense of scale. I've drawn up a quick 3 view of the flimsy.

Actually, the 3 view makes the flimsy a bit narrow. Here's a better one.
