What Uniforms did the British Forces wear in Palestine, Egypt and Mesopotamia in WW1 (specific 1916-18).

Did they wear special Tropical suits and/or their normal Western Front Tunics etc. And what headgear? Please I need some Information on this, best with some photos and/or illustrations.

Any contribution is appreciated!

Regards

I enclose a photograph of my Great Uncle Sidney Kirby taken on 19th Nov 1916 in the Western Desert (about 30 miles from El Alamein which was to be more famous in WW2). Uncle Sidney enlisted in the Linconshire Yeomanry in 1914 and was sent out to Egypt where he and other members of his unit were seconded into the Imperial Camel Corps. He served in both the Western Desert Campaign and later in Palestine. His uniform is not Western front by any means.
