"Victory" Film & the A7V prop.

We've discussed the dummy A7V in a British film a few times. It looked as if it was from a film of 1942 called "Victory". This seemed to be confirmation:

But this throws the cat amongst the pigeons: http://frenchfilmsite.com/review/1928-V/Victory.html

From the people who brought you "The Somme", 1927. Acc to this site, the film exists and has been seen and reviewed. I've messaged them to see if they can confirm. The plot summary, from the BFI says, "The armistice saves a girl and a pilot from death, but not a Canadian agent." That's all.

I've been researching this film and have some more info, but have not been able to confirm that it was released - for very good reasons.

Will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Quite a bit - I have contemporary documentation. However I've run into a completely unexpected snag. Don't want to say what it is as I could be completely wrong and you know what the internet is like - I need to do some more digging asap to sort it as I am writing up a note to send to the local historical journal.

PS It was definitely released, as the database says. But have run into another problem. Consulting a film specialist ...
