Armoured Cars and Crossley Tenders NWF 1919+
Permalink

Hi, new member with a possible thorny old question.

I want to paint up some a/c's that will work for the 3rd Afghan War and into the 1920s in the region (Waziristan etc).
I have read many views on what colour these vehicles were painted from grey, to white, to service colour, to desert khaki.
I expect the answer ma be that all these colours were used at various time but would be grateful for a view.

Looking at Austins and RRs moved from Iraq to India and India Pattern RRs.

Found this interesting image of a Fiat Indian Pattern showing a brown/green camo:

I also want to paint up some Crossley tenders for the 3rd Afghan War..again any help on colours would be gratefully recived
