Well, this is an oddity.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWTO39NUOdM

A 1984 Soviet TV mini-series about the adventures of an orphan from a small village, set against the rib-tickling backdrop of the Russian Civil War. One of our Russian-speaking friends might be able to help with this. The title doesn't seem to translate very easily.

The plot in this episode appears to be that the White Russians are receiving help from a British Army officer, who is depicted as a comic character (sporting an implausible steel helmet). Here he demonstrates a model of a Medium B (30' 55"). From what I can make out, the Whites use a tank against the Reds, but why it resembles an A7V I have no idea.

The tank inflicts a defeat on the Reds (16' 45"). The Whites then set about building dummy tanks, presumably to deceive the Reds (40' 15" and 44' 10"). The Reds launch an attack on the White camp and the dummy tanks (45' 30").

SPOILER ALERT!

I think the hero and his pal are smuggled into the White camp, in a treasure chest or something. Whatever. They take over the A7V style tank, helped inadvertently by the British officer, who has become drunk. They then humorously destroy the camp and kill the Whites. From 51' 50" onwards.

I'm sure a Russian speaker will correct any faults. It seems to be a Young Indiana Jones style caper, in which, I suspect, the Soviet Union comes out of things rather well. But I think the researcher who came up with the A7V idea should have been sent to the nearest gulag.
