Ok, not strictly a WW1 model, but could certainly represent a typical 1914 - 18 road somewhere in France.Had this piece in my stash for what seems like ages and decided to throw some paint at it.

Originally mastered by Frerik Noordhuis, it's available through a US based company called Celticwerks Casting Source as a single 6" x 9" (15.2 cm x 22.9 cm) resin piece. I started by giving it a coat of Tamiya Grey Surface Primer via a rattle can. I then used a dark grey via an AB to 'colour' the cobbles - varying the amount of paint to graduate the grey. Tamiya flat earth was used to prep the dirt areas.
I then applied various washes and filters and added grass matting. I only had a 'summer' grass in my stash so sprayed it a greener shade to better represent autumn/winter. Finally, I added some pigments to represent dirt etc.

Still need to paint the base sides. Hoep you like it.
