One more photo that was in another thread (I think) but is probably useful to have with the previous ones.

Looking at these photos its easy to see how an A7V story might arise but also do we not have here at least two (and possibly three) different vehicles?

wozniak-walerus.jpg has a squarish turret that increases the A7V resemblance
powstaniec.jpg has a round turret with the mg protruding through an elongated oval opening.

Both these vehicles appear otherwise similar and could be the same one with a revised turret. They both have a semicircular ends to the main body with the middle part sloping inwards and therefore slightly recessed. There appear to be two mg ports in each end. These is something that might or might not be another port in the middle but nothing is mounted here

On ehrhardt_polish2.jpg we have a round turret with a square protruding mantlet, a very prominent mid hull mounting with a visible mantlet and the end that is showing appears to have flat sloping plates (not round) with an mg in the centre

They probably are different armoured cars, or at least different bodies, and that was what Steve Zaloga was pointing out in the Polish A7V!!!!! Question???? thread. He quoted Janusz Magnuski's conclusion that German authors had mistaken improvised armoured cars for A7V's.

As you say, in some of the photos the similarity with an A7V or possibly Hedi is close. I wonder if the Poles copied the basic body layout of the A7V in a reduced form for their armoured cars.
