Oh, yes. I collect pictures from automoile and armoured cars (also motorbikes, racrors, tanks - all transportation) from Russian Empire ca 30 years, in my PC I have more as 10000 pictures. From Eastern Front I have all armoured cars: Garford-Poutiloff, Austin Mk I, Mk II, Mk III, Russki Austin ("Русскiй Остинъ" is correct name = "Russian Austin", new time name - Austin-Poutiloff and Austin Kégresse half trac), Packard-Poutiloff. Also first russian tanks (armoured tractors Allis-Chalmers-Poutiloff/Gulkewitsch). I have picture of first little tank of the world - Porochowsschikoff "Vezdekhod" ("Allroad") from 1915, built in Russia. From Izhorsky Work I have Pierce-Arrow, Renault, Berliet, White, Russo-Baltique (Russo-Balt), Mannesmann-MULAG,  Jeffery-Poplavko, Izhorski FIAT (chassis of American-FIAT 55 Truck), Packard, Pierce-Arrow and armoured cars of projekt from Mgebroff - Renault, Russo-Baltique, White, Benz, Isotta-Fraschini. The armoured cars from Obukhovski Work (Mercedes, Hansa-LLoyd), from Batoljuboff & Nekrassoff (Russo-Baltique, Renault), fro Porokhosschikoff (Ford). Anti-airkraft guns - armoured Russo-Baltique-Poutiloff and unarmoured Russo-Baltique-Poutiloff and White-Poutiloff, captured German Daimler-Krupp and Ehrhardt..., three-wheels armoured and little four-wheels armoured cars from "Oficer Shooting Scool" (Filatoff and Uljatovski), from "Automobil Scool" Renault-Wondljarewski and more.
Also imported armoured cars as Austin, Armstrong-Whiteworth-FIAT 15, Armstrong-Whiteworth-Jarrot, Sheffield-Simplex, Army Motor Lorries, Renault, Lanchester, Rolls-Royce, Peerless, Ford...
Also from belgian and english legions i Russia,..., also british tanks from Russian Civil War - Mk V, MK B, Mk A "Whipped"..., also estonian and finnish armoured cars...
The "Tzar-Tank" also (§Tzar-Tank" is new name, uncorrect, right name is Lebedenko "Netopyr"!!!)

Ivan,

That sounds like an impressive collection. What photos do you have of the Rolls Royce Armoured Cars in the Russian Empire and later in the USSR? I've only come across four photos of the Rolls Royces in Russia, two photos that are virtually identical showing the right side of an armoured car in the snow in Tiraspol, one photo from the Austrailian War museum reportedly taken in Russia (although judging by the soldier in short pants in the photo it looks more like the Middle East to me), and one very fuzzy image of a Roll Royce amid a crowd of other Red Army military vehicles in Dnepropetrovsk.

Have you found any other photos of the Rolls Royce Armoured Cars in Russia that you'd like to share?

I'd also like to learn more about the service of the Rolls Royces in Russia after the war. I believe that at least two of them were abandoned there by the departing British "Russian Armoured Car Division" in early 1917. I have been wondering what became of them.

Hi MarkV, here are all my pictures of english Rolls-Royce from Eastern Front (Turkish and Romanian front) and one from Red Army (all english armoured cars was captured 1918 from Reds). The photos are stolen from internet and scannned from old russian books/magazins, another from russian archives.
I have also pictures of english Lanchester, Pierce-Arrow and Ford T armoured cars in Russia.

I think the car with the guy in shorts is one of the Dunsterforce vehicles (eventually handed over to anti Bolshevik Russian troops).

Yes, it is ONE photo, who Red Army Rotz -Royce too see. First Russian Austin (Poutiloff), second Rolls-Royce. I have others bolshevik RR not to see.
English division in Russia havenot many RR, more was Lanchester.

Hi Paul, I din't know more, i remember no, over my pictures. Nor all from internet, more from old russian magazins scanned. Here are all Lanchester my from Eastern Front (belgian, captured german and british).

Paul, it survived only THREE original russian armoured cars - one FIAT Izhorski and two Russian Austin/Poutiloff. All stand in military museums in Moscow. One Russian Austin with name "Vrag Kapitala" was from St. Petersburg as tribune of Lenin 1917. It's no correct, this car built in 1919. Today stand in Mocow revolution-museum with new colour. Second Russian Austin of 1918 stand by St. Pepersburg (in Kolpino) in terran of Izhorski Work .
By cinema-procuced in Russia will maked two or three replicas of FIAT and Austin.

I have too many pitures of Garford Poutiloff, i german service (by Freikorps, see top), in polish, latvian and in russian service, by Russian Emire Army, be Whites and by Reds.
Garford bulit by Poutiloff Work was the BEST drives weapon of IWW. With hes 76 mm "Kanone" he was very god in fight anti english tanks in Russian Civil War - the best armur, the best gun and the best sped!

do you happen to know anything about garfords being used by the Romanians and the Mongolians? ive read about both cases but no photos, also what about some of the remaining garfords that were used in 1941?

All photos Ford T are from RNAS in Russia, one photo is Ford T captured from Red Army and one photo is Russian Ford T (Armoured by Porokhovsschikov).

Russian Austin "Vrag kapitala" (The enemy of capital) stays in St Petersburg in Military-historical museum of Artillery, Engineer Troops and Intercommunication Troops. Fiat stays i Moscow in Museum of Russian Army.
In 1967 10 (!) replicas of Fiat were make for Military Parade in Moscow for 50 years of October Revolution. As far as I know, one of them use military-historical club.
One replica of Austin was display in Norilsk in 1987.

Realy? "Враг Капитала" stays in St. Petersburg? I think in Kubinka-museum... I was not in Russia last 5 years. Thanks for information!
Second original "Russian Austin" stays in Kolpino bey Izhiosky Work.
A good replica from Izhorsky FIAT is "Kretchet", I think here is old original body with new chassis. One replica of Austin stays in "Mosfilm" (Moscow movie-studio) in the garage. Here are the photos of all this replicas.

About a year ago I found a modern coloured photo of a parade/re enactment with an original Austin armoured car or a very good replica. The 'soldiers' were all wearing the original version of the Red Army uniform (the one Trotsky introduced). The one thing that jarred was they had a horse pulling the Austin! I think I posted it somewhere on this forum (in which case its probably lost for ever). Can't remember if it was an attachment (in which case I might have filed a copy) or a link. I'll look later.
