Hi all
Here are some photos of my A7V (540) in 1/25. Unfortunately progress is very slow.

Looks great so far. 1/25, that's a quite impressive scale. Should be about as large as my dog. :)
Are the tracks scratchbuilt too?

Peter, some more information about how you do it would be nice...I also wonder about the tracks, did you cast them by your own ?

Impressive model, looks ....really "tankish"...

Thanks for your comments. Casting the tracks (Silicon rubber forms and Resin) proved to be the greatest problem for me, as each piece of track consists of three parts. That was one of the reasons to build the tank in 1/25. In 1/35 the tiny parts would have been too small for me. Annother reason were the hundreds of rivets. Each one was formed with a Zippo from Slaters plastic rod. And there are some other nuts and bolts too. You can imagine, in such times, modelling became a rather philosophic aspect.

Looking forward to sharing more progress photos later.

Best,

Peter

It looks fantastic. Will you be adding any interior to it?

Hello Gents
Thanks for the kind words.
I always wanted to come to the original as close as possible. In all the pictures of 540 at its capture the side doors aren't open. Not so the rear escape hatch. There I built up the  entire inner frame with the number 540 on it.
Nevertheless I am working now since more than five years on that vehicle and I think any interior would have complicated it further.
