Looking for armoured cars
Permalink

Hello,

I am a modeller of World War One 1:35 armour. Recently, I found on the internet about the makes Armo Models and Major Models, both sold by Lou Stener (Armour Models from England). The Major Models are also branded as CK Models and are also sold directly by Vyacheslav Ryzhenkov from Penza, Russia (website thetankmaster.com). Can anyone tell me about his experiences buying models from these firms?

Thanks,

Arlo

Welcome to the forum!

Both Armo and Major have been discussed before. The consensus seems to be that Armo are good, Major are not...

Have a look at these threads:
Armo

Major

There are other threads which have discussed them, but those seemed the most useful (Top Tip: have a go with the 'Search' function near the top of the page).

Thanks for your useful reply,

I thin I am going to give Armo Models a try. Lou Stener from Armour Models in En gland has these models on offer. Do you have any experience obtaining models from him; were do you buy Armo Models yourself?

Thanks,

Arlo

i think the best place to by the armo models if from jadar, a polish store that makes the kits,
they are very reliable, and ive ordered twice from them from the states, and got my kits really fast!

Thanks very much Eugene.

So far I have built the Tauro Sturmpanzerwagen A7V which was quite good, the Char Schneider resin kit from Rare Tanks which was really a hell of a job to build and the Emhar Mark IV Male. My most recent addition is the only Renault FT 17 in Dutch Army service between the wars, in fact the only Dutch tank ever before WW 2. Armoured cars will definitely make a welcome addition to my collection.
