FT-17 IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
Permalink

As of Saturday or Sunday last, the Kansas City Star, reports that the Liberty Memorial (the only national memorial and museum dedicated to the Great War in the United States) was acquiring a FT-17 from a private collection in Oregon, I think.  Don't know when it will arrive, but it is supposed to have been knocked out by German artillery.  The current owner never had it restored, and accordin g to the Star, the museum plans to clean it up, but not to touch any underlying paint work.  I have got to make it to this museum, but I never seem to have the time!  I will try and see if I can get pictures.  They already have a great collection of artillery, the tank will be the icing on the cake.  TTFN.
