White French armoured car
Permalink

Hello,

I just got the White French armoured car from Retrokit in 1/72. It is a really nice kit but I would like to improve it. I want to add some handle and some other details. Anybody knows where to find a "several views" drawing ?
I also don't know what colour to use. Any idea ?

Thank you very much in advance

Eric, the best thing is to work from pictures, as equipment varied from one to another.  Scale drawings are available from Hubert Cance and others but all drawings i've seen so far have major mistakes in them.

Hello,

I found some pictures and have the drawings from Hubert Cance, so I guess I have sufficient documentation to start to work on this armoured car.
However, I don't know for the colour. I have a picture of a multicolured camouflaged vehicle (French usual camo) and the others seems to have a uniform colour camo. If this opinion is ok, which colour. I don't think it is artillery grey but more probably the French army green. When does the vehicles of the French army were painted that way ? Before or after the end of the WW1 ?
I also never saw any marking on this type of armoured car. Any information ?

Thank you in advance
