Has anyone visited the Old Rhindbeck Aerodrome in New York?

In collection includes a running Renault, is this vehicle a Six-ton M1917?

Yes it is, very nice but the exhaust is replaced by a simple pipe and why do they fit this ridiculous fake gun?

Thanks,

The fake gun barrel looks like it has been removied in the latest pictures on the Rhindbeck website.

Even with gas prices being what they are I am temped to do a summer road trip.

Best Regards,

Chris.

Definitely a 6-tonner.

The shape of the armour in front of the driver's eyes gives it away.

I have seen some pictures of this on Flickr. In the photos you can see that the rivet pattern on the nose is the 6-ton pattern, not the FT pattern.

I suspect it is not the original engine.

They have some other ineresting vehicles at the aerodrome. Although the Maxwell armoured car is a fake, built on a Maxwell chassis.
