Thought the attached photo was interesting. Any other pics of this weapon system utilzing these wheel covers ? Though bogged in mud , the camo is clearly visible. ( Note the dog shivering before the trail.)
Possibly it is a common sheep out in the mud for no particular reason. However, I'm curious if this modification was unique to a particular battery, or if possibly a factory update Mark I'm not aware of. I believe it carries the late war wheel extensions, which would date it sometime after Spring 1918. Any thoughts fellow artillery buffs ?
