Find it!!!Japanese own WWI AC!!!

Is it a Ehrhardt armored car captured by Japanese? No! It's a Japanese own design!

Japanese army used this armored car in "Siberian Intervention"(1918-1922). It was built on a 3-ton truck chassis. Japanese called it a "light armored car"(). It had a round rotating turret and it was armed with a HMG. Two were buit and one of them took part in the fight.
Japanese found a "Armored Car Squad" during the "Siberian Intervention". It also used another two kinds of armored cars:

This is a armored car built on a car chassis. It also had a round rotating turret and armed with a machine gun. It also used by the "Armored Car Squad".

This is another kind of armored car used by the "Armored Car Squad" during the "Siberian Intervention". It was called a "Heavy Armored Car"() in Japan. Two took part in the fight. They were built on two different 4-ton truck chassis(called a "Type C truck"() and a "Type B truck"() in Japan, don't know what kind of trucks are they). They had 4mm thick armor.
Japanese is very similar to Chinese,so I can read Japanese sources without difficuities.

First picture it is japanese armoured car "Sumida", not Ehrhardt!!!

Second picture it is captured russian armoured car on a american chassis of FIAT, built in Vladivostok by white-russians 1918/19. I have many pictures with this cars (two version) Some people say, itis Armstrong-Whitwort. No! It is later russian FIAT.

I began to reseach on this subject three years ago. But I don't think Chinese army used any armored vehicles in WWI. But Chinese army used French FT-17 tanks and many armored trains during the Chinese Civil War in 1920s. At that time, Zhang Zuolin's army had a few FT-17 tanks, many other armys were afraid of these new weapons. I have the details of the "White Russian Armored Train" used by Zhang Zongchang's army during the Chinese Civil War. They were opreated by the white Russians who went to China after Russian Revolution. You can see their photos on the Russian site www.tankmuseums.ru. Another famous armored train used in Chinese Civil war is "Zhong Shan", it was named after the first president of Republic of China. Some sources say this armored train was built in Russia. Now I have 2 photos of the armored train "Zhong Shan". I will post these photos and the details of the "White Russian Armored Train" used by Zhang Zongchang's army , if you want to see them.

All these armored trains were very good at that time. They were not improvised.

I only have 2 photos of Chinese FT-17 and one of them was taken during WWII.
I need some time to translat the Chinese article about Zhang Zongchang's "White Russian Armored Train" into English and copy the photo of the armored train "Zhong Shan" from my books. Sorry.smile.gif
