I searching info about the (goatskin) jerkin used by the british Tommy in WW1. When was it introduced and how long it was used? If anybody got some pics...!?
Sorry don't have any pics, but I believe it was only issued during the first winter of the war, and later winter issue was the leather sleeveless jerkin. The goatskin jerkin later became prized as indicating the wearer was a veteran of the trenches.
