Material of WWI barbed wire?

Which material was the barbed wire which was used in WWI? Was it "verzinkt" (zinc) or "pure metal"?
Does anybody know?

Not sure I understand the question. I assume what you are asking is was it galvanised (zinc plated) or bare metal. I think that initially it was probably galvanised but as Germany became desperately short of zinc due to the naval embargo their barbed wire was probably bare metal (mild steel wire) what the situation with British or French wire would be I don't know. Ungalvanised wire rusts very quickly.
