Romanian AFV 1915-1919. In 1915 armored vehicle was made in Romania, armed gun and two machine guns. The Base has served the commercial lorry. The Arms could lead the fire and on air, and on overland purpose. The Possible name - Tipul 1915. In 1916 on carriage of the lorry Berliet were installed 75-mm gun C.K. The car was used as AA installation in Bucharest. In the same year beside Romanian army was beside 20 armed machine gun lorries (the majority - a production of the company Renault). In 1917 on arms of the Romanian police body the armored car, made on carriage Praga R-4. In 1918 or 1919 Romania has seized 1 Russian armored car "Austin" 2 or 3 series. Armored car, named "Marasheshti" has served in Romanian army before 1933.Approximately in the same year was enthralled one Russian "Garford", however he has served only before 1920. At the end 1919 inRomania has got 1 AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN armored vehicle "Romfell". In Romania he has got the name "Resita". This armored vehicle has written off in 1920.
It not the Romanian armored car! It is Russian armored car on the chassis of Hotchkiss 60 CV (Now it is checked up, not Russo-Baltique) made at Izhorski factory. Such cars was only TWO - both in 1st mashin-gun company of RIA (not to confuse to 1st automobile-machine-gun company), both took Germans. One of them then participated in revolution in Berlin ("Lotta"). At me the whole meeting of such silly cards - on one is written French, on other even English. Now the Romanian. I repeat - only two such it has been constructed.
So, the same car, which has been in some photo taken from the exhibition of German war trophies, which I have seen somewhere in these talks?
Hotchkiss, project of Grauen, made in Izhorsky. I think it looks so similar to Russo-Balt, because it has same designer.
Where they built in 1915 or when?
I think, not the same. This two cars have a little differents - the side-windows on a motor. On all exhibition (Posen, Berlin, Hamburg) was second car - later "Lotta".
I cheked the list of Russo-Baltique works, all chassis delivery for Russian army 1912-1916. For armoured cars wroten 8 chassis type C 24/30 for colonel Dobrschanski (1st automobil-mashin-gun compyny) and later some chassis for captain Nekrassoff (type C 24/40 and D 24/40). One chassis (type L 24/40) go to Wild division armoured car (also project Grauen/Dobrschanski wihtout turrel), one C 24/40 for Kurski infanterie-regiment armoured cat (unknown construction of armour) and one for shtaff-captain Mgebroff (Miitary automobile scool, also unknown, no picture).
This two cars bulit end of 1914 or beginn of 1915, the same construction of carosserie - with turrel (!!!), others chassis!
