New Releases at Matador

Just announced, Matador are releasing a German 150mm howitzer, and a Holt tractor.

But no news on their Ford Model T armoured car.

Having just searched through the "unbuilt kit box" from the photo on Matador's site it looks kike a reissue of the old B&K Modelcraft kit.
As this was difficult to get hold of it's good news.

It seems as though their previous releases (the howitzers and crew figures) were ex- B&K too.

I'm pleased they (Matador) haven't packed up and 'left the building'. They've been a bit slow lately. I hope their health is OK.

Looking forward to their Model T armoured car, if it ever gets made.

The Holt looks brilliant.

Talking of manufacturers who have gone quiet. are Convoy still operating? I think they still have a website, but they don't exactly encourage trade.

I've never bought anything from Convoy. Are they the ones with the website with all the popups? Are/were their models any good?

Re: Convoy.

The site is still up, and, yes, it is pop-ups galore.

I bought the Leyland Subsidy, the Jeffrey Quad, and the Jeffrey Ammunition Truck years ago. They are actually very nice, but it's very difficult to find any pics of the models. The site doesn't go out of its way to impress you, and I think I contacted them a long while ago and waited a long time for a not particularly enthusiastic reply.

Having looked at the picture at the Matador site it is definitely the old B&K Holt which was OK so I supose we will get more releases from the B&K range.
As others have said it is difficult to get hold of kit's from Convoy which is a pity their GS wagon is very good.

Yes, I had the same response when I was after their Albion A10 - apparently, to get any information out of them (including prices - the website tells you how to order, but not how much to send them!) you need to send for one of their catalogues by post with an SAE.

Here's their website address for anyone interested
