Hi All, Im looking for imformation on the colour of artillery shells, HE and Shrapnel used by the Russian Putilov 76.2mm m/02 Field Gun any help would be appreciated .....

Text from the poster and my translation. (I don't know correct terms in English, so translation has many mistakes hmm )

1. Áîåâîé ïàòðîí ñ ïóëåâîé øðàïíåëüþ è 22-ñåêóíäíîé äèñòàíöèîííîé òðóáêîé äâîéíîãî äåéñòâèÿ (ìàðêè 22 Ï). Ãèëüçà - ëàòóííàÿ ïîëåâàÿ îáð. 1900 ã.

2. Áîåâîé ïàòðîí ñ ôóãàñíîé (òðîòèëîâîé) ãðàíàòîé äëèíîé â 4,12 êàëèáðà è âçðûâàòåëåì ÇÃÒ. Ãèëüçà - ëàòóííàÿ ïîëåâàÿ îáð. 1900 ã.

3. Áîåâîé ïàòðîí ñ çàæèãàòåëüíûì ïèãìåíòíûì ñíàðÿäîì ñèñòåìû Ïîãðåáíÿêîâà-Ñòåôàíîâè÷à  è 22-ñåêóíäíîé äèñòàíöèîííîé òðóáêîé äâîéíîãî äåéñòâèÿ (ìàðêè 22 Ï). Ãèëüçà - ëàòóííàÿ ïîëåâàÿ îáð. 1900 ã.

1. Live cartridge with bullets Shrapnel & 22-sec. remote dual  operation fuse (mark 22 Ï). Shell - brass field type 1900 year.

2. Live cartridge with high-explosive (trotil) grenade 4,12 calibres long & fuse ÇÃÒ (ZGT). Shell - brass field type 1900 year.

3. Live cartridge with incendiary pigment shell system of Pogrebnyakov-Stefanovich & 22-sec. remote dual operation fuse (mark 22 Ï). Shell - brass field type 1900 year.

Thanks for the reply... do you know if the HE shell was unpainted it seems unlikely....

I think so, but don't remember exactly. For example shells for 1909 mountain gun
