What is this? It should be easy as it looks to be a typical something or other, but I have lost my notes on this one. Located at a nearby Light Horse and Field Artillery Museum at Nar-Nar-Goon, Victoria.

And then there is this at the same location. And the tip of a barrel showing at the bottom right hand corner is that of a 210cm howitzer the barrel of which was buried and later dug up in a Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Top one is a 7.7cm Feldkanone K16 - it's fairly rare in Australia most of the small field guns captured were FK 96 n.A

Bottom one is a 7.7cm Feldkanone 96 n.A - it's about the most complete 96 n.A in Australia with the leather parts restored. I've attached a front view of this gun.

If we had the serial numbers of these guns we could possibly identify when/where they were captured.

Regards,

Charlie
