Hello everyone, I am in search of some information on German tracked vehicles, such as the Motor Limbers of Benz & Lanz ,the Brauer Half Track, the Bussing Half Track. And the Marienwagen. I have the Book: **German Artillery of WW1 by Herbert Jager**, But I am in search of more indepth information , and of course pictures & drawings would be great., I am also willing to share my research with any one interested.
Have you seen the old "Military Transport of World War I", by C. Ellis and D. Bishop. The artwork is iffy, but there is much text-info on WW1-era softskins. One of the best on this subject, I think. It's been out of print for long, but a search at www.abebooks.com should prove useful!
Get hundly and strasheim, even though the book is a bit pricy and is hard to get, this book deals in depth on all German tracked matters, from tanks, to trucks to captured tanks, to tractors and tank projects, this book probably has the answer to your needs, but if you find a cheaper alternative use that, if you get this book it is safe to say it can cover all your ww1 German tanks/and vehicles ie. it has a chapter for each a7v produced, al ltwenty and goes in depth on tracked vehicles. But look for other sources also
first use froogle at google.com its a shopping search engine
check amazon.com, I knwo its out of stock but someone might be selling it.
By the way i checked it has a lot of info on MArianwagen and bussing half-track. als otry overstock.com, but your best bet is through froogle, and this is one book for al lgerman modeling liek i said, other than soldiers cannons, and planes and ships
oh yeah also try the book german tanks in world warI its in any major store online ie. barnes&noble books a million. But that book has 10 times less info, and it also costs 10 times less than the other book mentioned (Hundle yand Strasheim), but be avare that the book in subject in this paragraph has only has about three paragraphs on the marionwagens and durwagens
