There is no re-direction from the site (it would be a potential threat if there was). I saw some annoying pop-ups, one, the most intrusive/obstructive only appeared once and I Alt-F4 (closed) the browser without clicking (a trick to remember).
It didn't re-appear when I re-visited. The others were just "green card" and "fat belly" stuff which of course one doesn't touch. I have my cookie policy set to accept cookies and javascript restricted to moving and re-sizing display windows. Pop-up windows are (theoretically) blocked but some seem to manage.
I found some low-risk adware cookies had installed but that's all. No squawks from my AV, nothing on my firewall, Norton Site Safety finds nothing to object to.
At this stage I would be tempted to suppose it is only the pop-up windows that give one a bit of a fright - but really it depends on the security settings of the browser just what gets through. Did you receive actual virus alerts from your AV, were names of the viruses given? (not expecting that you would remember them if they were named - though that would be logged somewhere - but the fact of identification is important if it happened). What is the name of your Anti-Virus, if it gave you warnings?
Hi All, As far as i know most were Trojans of one sort or another,as my good lady wife does must of the computer work in the home this is all i can tell you. As for the AV this is called PANDA, which we have had for some years now and find it very reliable. Sorry that i can not be of further use.
So the warning stands, anyone not confident about the state of their internet "defences" - and even so considering the possibility that they might be a little overconfident - should stay away from that link or at least avoid clicking on anything on the page or that may pop up in front of it. Not that you necessarily need to click on anything these days.

It's a dangerous world, but it's the only one we have - I guess we need to be brave, but not to take unnecessary risks. Thanks to the Old Lancer we know of this one.
Lancers, ha! I remember when, not all that long ago (so it seems), at the annual Royal Show of the West Australian Agricultural Society, the Police and the 10th Light Horse both gave exhibitions of "tentpegging" with the lance and with the sword. I think people today would be rather apprehensive if those still possessed the skills and put them on display. I don't really know that it is a more dangerous world now - rather, perhaps, that we're more timorous as a 'society'. But that's another matter and surely not entirely bad if it reflects lessons learned. Or, we're turning into the Eloi and it's not even close to the year 802,701 (HG Wells' The Time Machine).
Whatever, no-one wants to put the contents of their hard-drives at risk. So back-up frequently, for goodness sakes. We need that data.
