Hi all,

this grenade launcher, has any one more information about the 'weapon'?
As it looks quite sophisticated, or at least made by a skilled carpenter, I assume it is not a Do It Yourself product made by inventive soldiers.

regards, Kieffer

Though I do not have a specific answer, I do know that these grenade crossbows were considered a serious weapon by the French and many were supplied to the front. There is a book by the name of Weapons of the Trench War 1914-1918 written by Antony Saunders witha whole chapter wrtten on these weapons.

I like the expression of the soldier in the foreground, while getting grenades (or Easter eggs?) from the basket.
