I picked up the Airfix Female a couple of days ago, and want to build it as a Mk 2 at Arras - does anyone have any images or description as to how the Mk 1/2 Female sponsons were adapted to take the Lewis gun? I want to know whether i'll need to do anymore work than just putting a Lewis through the slit where the Vickers and armoured jacket would be, but it would leave quite a gap owing to the smaller size of the Lewis
A plate appears to have been fitted into the MG apertures, which compensated for the difference in size between the jackets on the Vickers and Lewis guns.
