Hi all, I was reading Wingates great thread and looking at his Grandfathers photos of E Coy. and I was thinking of doing Revenge , a Mk IV Female, at Gaza. At the same time I was also reading David Fletchers book" The British Tanks 1915-1919" and in it he says of 3 the Mk IVs sent to the Middle East one was destroyed and the other was badly damaged and was thought to be used as a training or supply tank. So I then looked in his Osprey book of the Mk IV tank at the picture of Revenge and I noticed 3 things. The first is all the stowage and supplys for the outpost on top of the tank. Second was that there were no machine guns mounted in the sponsons. And the third was that the top of the cab was gone and a tanker was standing in it. I could clearly see his shoulders and the roof looks to be gone. I am wondering if this is the damaged Mk IV he is refering to. I can not see a hatch and the size of the opening is too big for the type of hatch used in purpose built supply tanks. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
