I have what I think is a jeffrey quad, though  somewhat diffrent to what I have seen online. It is 4 x4 but not 4 wheel steer unlike photos I have seen the axels are kinked rather than straight with the diffs on top the wheels have a dimand cast into them. any imfo would be of intrest.

Thats interesting. It does not look quite like a Jeffery but has some similarities. I will give it some thought. Which country is it in please?

Ok. it does not appear to be a Quad. Axles kinked, spring hangars different, diff different shape, chassis rails different as well.

I am not aware of any Jefferys surviving in NZ. Australia yes.

That raises the question as to what it is. Interesting stuff. I will give it some more thought. I dont suppose you have an engine for it?

I still dont know about this. It would almost certainly be of US build as quite a number of US trucks survive in NZ and the British were not well known at this time for 4WD. It does not appear to be a Militor, Jeffery/Nash Quad or FWD which were the only 4WD trucks used by the US Army in WW1, so something of slightly later origin perhaps?

Any more clues?

I notice there are blanking plates where the shafts would fit so could this be some kind of heavy trailer as opposed to a truck. Just my thoughts on it !

Excellent. That is a rarity then. Some more photos of it here:

same engine as the Jeffery Quad then. The chassis does look to be a little spindly for a three tonner though.
