Most threads about mortars here are in the artillery section, which probably is why this one http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=63528&p=3&topicID=30482811 didn't receive too much attention.
I too would like to know more about the Russian use of mortars in WW1. I am particularly interested in two aspects: 1. Pictures of the 58mm or 47mm mortars with crew (to determine their position during action) 2. Did the Russians use the Stokes mortar in WW1?
