Ford 2-Man, 3-ton Tank

Attached are a few photos from my collection of the Ford 2-man tank that was developed at the end of the war.  Apparently, only two were sent to France for testing during the occupation.

The full spec. of this tank appears on the schedule I have recently posted under Tank Specification, according to this some 15 were built and had twin Ford engines, probably the model 'T' type.

Great photos, jagjetta.

That's correct, Richard, they had twin Tin Lizzie engines, and out of the order for 15,000 only 15 were built, and out of those, two made it to France.

And this thread, started by Peter T, has links to many films, showing the little tanks being put through their paces:

Thanks, PDA and Peter T!  The links to the films were outstanding! Really enjoyed watching the little 3-ton go.

I believe Aberdeen Proving Ground recently restored their example to running condition. However, with the move of the museum, not sure what will become of it. The Ordnance Museum Foundation that provided support and financing for the museum and the restorations seems to be in a bit of a situation regarding its future.
