Hi, as far as I know the "Tanks" were Rolls Royce Armoured Cars sunk in the red sea? but I dont know any details I believe theres a thread somewhere dealing with it on the forum...

The only Manual of the ones you mention that I know of is the Renault FT manual which can be found Here..

http://www.scribd.com/doc/30292276/Notice-descriptive-du-char-d-assaut-Renault-18-HP-France-avril-1918

I believe You have join to download it..

Cheerswink

Howdy,

Sorry to go off on a bit of a tangent but the photo I have seen of the "Rolls Royce Armoured Car" on the Thistlegorm in the Red Sea does not appear to me to be consistent with the classic Rolls Royce armoured car.  Have you, or anyone else, seen anything identifyable as a Rolls Royce armoured car on that ship?

Thanks,

MarkV

However there seems to be a couple of RRs aboard the wreck of HMS Campania..

The History though is a bit off... "Lawrence of Arabia used one of the cars in the Jordanian desert to pursue his campaigns during the Second World War" wink
