Good heavens, 120 comments in 13 hours and still running hot. This really has captured the imagination of "the public". Well, that's a good thing I think. Lest we forget.
I'm not quite sure what to make of it. There is a strong smell of self-adulation in what the researchers say, it sounds like they have been working in some PR agency for too long.
I also find it disturbing to read that, "Mr Jones has identified 25 of the 28 British and all 10 French tunnellers at the Glory Hole. The number of Germans remains unclear." So he knows the names of nearly all the Allied victims, but not even the number of the Germans - which might very well not testify to his attitude, but to a certain desinterest from the German side. I mean they didn't even notice when the last German WW1 veteran died!
