Question about Beute tank "Lotte"

Dear all,

the last days I received a couple of pictures showing Mark IV "Beutepanzer", including 1 showing "Lotte" after the war. So I took a deeper look into my collection. I have some pictures of Lotte - most show Lotte after the war. One picture shows Lotte during the war. When I added it to my collection I realized immediately the different letters.

But a few days ago I realized: they are seem to be different vehicles. Lotte postwar: There is a maintenance plate below the name "Lotte" and the number in the circle is "3". Name "Lotte" is in white colour. The other picture shows the name in white with black outlines, no plate and a "2" in the circle.

Was Lotte once repaired? Or was another vehicle renamed with Lotte?.

Regards

Chris

Very nice, Wagen 122 'Lotte' (2). This ought to be the second 'Lotte', the one lost on July 15th, 1918.

So, the sequence was: first Wagen 116 'Lotte' (3) - second Wagen 122 'Lotte' (2) - third Wagen 119 'Lotte' (2).

Well, I had already assumed that Wagen 119 'Lotte' (2) must have been a re-issue.

Thank you for closing the gap.

If I got you right: 1st picture shows 3rd Lotte and 2nd picture shows 2nd Lotte.

Your numbers (2) / (3) means 2 / 3 in the circle?

First picture shows Wagen 116 'Lotte' (3), second picture shows Wagen 122 'Lotte' (2).

And yes, the numbers (xx) refer to the Abteilung numbering - or: number-in-circle.

Thank you!

Was the history of the three Lotte discussed here before?

Tankograd 'Beute-Tanks' Vol. I and II; however, without the No. 122, which is a new information.
