It is really the 63mm Amstrong mountain gun: it is confirmed by STROEA. Adrian BAJENARU. Gheorghe�: Artileria Rom�n �n date i imagini. Bucureti : Editura Centrului Tehnic-Editotorial el Armatei 2010, pp. 43-44.

It was the first mountain gun adopted by the Romanian Army that bought in England 4 six-guns batteries of these guns in 1883-84 as Tunul "Armstrong", calibrul 63 mm, model 1883.

Definitely an Armstrong gun - look at the two tubes wrapped around the breech area. The British took years to figure out how to build a gun with a one piece cast barrel.

�In this case the barrel consisted of two pieces, for easy transportation. It was a very heavy piece for a mountain gun.

See Kosar, Gebirgsgeschuetze for more info on the original 63,5mm 2,5 pnd mountain gun Mark 1, as used by the British. Their 10pnd mountain gun had a similar "breakable" barrel.
