Attched is photo of Queen Mary (not well camouflaged) visiting the Front in 1917. You will note that arrangements have been made to prevent Her Majesty's shoes from becoming soiled.

I can't make out the object on the right. It looks like something armoured. Is it a Schneider? If not, what?

I think the foliage atop her hat is a crude attempt at camouflage...

I don't think it's a Schneider as it lacks the 'blister' MG mounting which should be visible even at that perspective (unless there were some that lacked it, I don't know enough about them).

Maybe a St Chamond with a load of gubbins on the roof?

the Queen visited a signal tank too that same day, not the front by the way but the Erin workshop.
