Where were the names of the Mk 1's actually on the vehicles?

I'm just getting ready to finish my kit of my Female as either  C2 Cognac, C4 Chablis or C6 Cordon Rouge.

Now obviously the company letter and number of the tank in that company was placed near the front track adjuster, but where was the actual vehicle name placed?

It's obvious in the case of Clan Leslie and even Combles, but not with the 3 vehicles above.

Any help is really appreciated.

I don't think there was a Mark I called Combles. I think the tank you refer to was Corunna; I know Combles was painted on it, but I think only afer it was disabled so possibly as a sort of large road sign. But your question is a good one. I suspect that some names weren't painted on tanks. All you can do is follow the photos available to you. If someone questions what you've done, the onus is on him (or her) to prove you wrong.

Thank you Gwyn.

And thanks for the clarification on "Combles/Corrunna"

It did strike me as odd as to why the name "Corrunna" was so large and looked like it was actually chalked on.
