My word. The first one is a beauty- "a scene from a British film shot in Dorset, England, December 1927."

Clearly a replica A7V. It would be splendid to find out more about the film.

(Warning: all this is from memory...) The last is in David Fletcher's Osprey on the Mark V. He comments that it's odd to see a Mark V at Fosters as they didn't build them. The people arround include royalty and I think the tank is 9277.

Your right Gwyn, Fosters didn't build MarkVs, as James says it is a MarkIV.  

 

You can see the Foster Tractors and wagons and the avoiding railway line that was to the north of the test ground.

Well I did put a warning on the post, and I was in a rush...

Yes, of course it's a Mark IV - obvious really.  Definitely triggered a memory of another photo though.
