Wanted, information pictures or diagrams of A7V track system & wheels
Permalink

Hello everyone, I am building a 1/2 scale A7v & I need some assistance on the track & wheel system. I have access to the Schiffer & vanguard books but not the "bible" of the A7V (Hundleby) so my details are limited. If you have any diagrams or photos that you could share I'd be very thankful. I would also be happy with links or directions to any helpful material you may have.

Thank you,

Harry

Thank you very much! The system is making much more sense to me now... it tool a while to figure out the inside/outside flanged roadwheels but this shows them clear as day. What I find interesting is that the first bogie & last bogie aren't "stiffer" on the leading (for the front) and trailing (for the back) ends. I assume they knew there would be little suspension movement when crossing country. It is interesting that the center bogie got the extra springs... I would assume balancing the engine location & higher hull in that area.

Again, Thank you very much... people like yourself keep the flame on knowledge & history alive.

Harry

Harry - I came across an exploded diagram of the A7V some years ago, but couldn't find it when you originally posted. Now I've stumbled on the right web page again, so hope this link helps.

I am building a 1:72nd sc. A7V Late by Milicast basing the camo paint on Kora's Late A7V. The exploded you refer to seems to have the same paint- what is the name of this tank? I have heard that all 20 A7Vs were named. I need as much info as possible on this A7V.
