No, I don't think they played a role in the Polish A7V myth, Which I believe we have busted on a earlier thread. I am sure there is some information some where. We will just have to keep looking.

i was saying that when people saw the pictures it kind of validated the polish myth, wondering if these are the polish a7v (they are not) also tim we need to get some writting done this break I sent you a couple of emails, and I have some new stuff on the Mk.II
In case anyone missed it I enclose a snippet from ML last June refering to that Hedi picture.
"Firstly, the vehicles in the pics from the Landships site are not A7V tanks. Rather they are A7Z Gelandewagenen hastily provided with mild steel armor, and armed with 4 Mg08s to suppress the Socialist uprisings in Germany after the armistice. One of these hybreds was named Hedi. These vehicles were utlilised in that capacity until scrapped at the demand of the allies in 1921."
I know a little about this matter as a compatriot of mine has blueprints (well, about 75% of them anyway) of the Infanteriekampfwagen "Hessen-Cassel" which he is currently re-constructing. It seems that several variations on the basic design were considered and i'm not sure which one would have been used although apparently a couple of prototypes were under construction near the end of the war. If I can talk him into posting (he's not too fond of English) some info it may be of interest to some here.
please do, i think I can speak for all of us here that we would be delighted in seeing blue prints of the Hessen-Cassel, is he making a working recosnturction of the vehicle? Wow that would be quite a project i hope he can share some photos of his efforts as well!
