As far as I can understand from a quick read the Battle of Limanowa was part of an offensive by Russian forces in the Southern sector of the Eastern front.
The Russian 8th Corps was tasked with pushing through Galicia to the Hungarian Plain. The crucial action was around Limanowa was on 10 Dec 1914
when the 10th Hungarian Hussars clashed with 15th Tsarist Infantry Division at
Jablonec
Hill in an intense, bloody action which stopped the offensive
of the 8th Corps.
I'll come up with a short version and add it to the WW1 news on Landships II.
"On this day in 1914 the Russians repel German attacks north of Lovitj. The Russian offensive on the Southern part of the Eastern Front is halted at Jablonec Hill near Limanowa when the 10th Hungarian Hussars defeated 4 infantry regiments of the Russian 8th Corps in a bloody, intense action."
