A good replica, shame it was painted green instead of some shade of brown/khaki/tan.
I think it is a sort of khaki brown colour from being up and close to it for a weekend, but admittedly it is hard to tell, especially from photos, there's a LOT of mud on it, both artificial from pre-filming, the filming itself and then driving around the Bovington area
It does look like it may be khaki with all that mud on it, but if you look at James' third photo, you'll see that the museum has a display board with the tank, showing a photo of the tank clean, shiny - and green.
Ah, I see now. Looks like it's copied off the Ashford Tank. At least one, I think two full size replicas are being built for the centenary, and no doubt there'll be more replica ones, be interesting how accurate they turn out. This one is clearly copied straight off 'Excellent', hence the lack of rear armour and unditching beam. That said it's still the most accurate WW1 British tank replica ever built
I think the brownish colour is what my good lady might describe as "taupe." Speaking of replicas, the Poelkapelle project is still going on. I'll do a post on it.
