1918 Diorama + Scratchbuild AFV's
Permalink Closed

Hello,

I'm new here and really like this site. I have built a big Diorama depicting the Western Front 1918.

British and some French forces attack heavily fortified German Trench lines. The figures are Emhar, Hät and Revell.

The landscape is made of styrofoam, boxes and plaster, and was painted with acrylic colours.

The Germans are using some AFV's that were in reality only prototypes but here they see combat. ;)

The K-Wagen and the Marienwagen are selfmade, scratchbuilt card models, wich I made from normal card material, using only some original photos and measurements. I painted them in fieldgrey acrylic colours. The Rivety are made of white glue dots. These are my very first scratchbuilt models, so I plan to built all German AFV's, tanks and vehicles from WW1.

I also made an observation Balloon out of two plastic bottles, wich were coated with newspapers and painted with acrylics.

In the end various planes will fly over the diorama.

Looking forward to your comments.

Regards

Cool! Very impressive, and I like the idea of a K-Wagen lumbering into action!
