Landships II

Made both curious and eager by one previous post, regarding the new glue by LocTite, that is supposed to glue that otherwise ungluable poyethylene plastic I gave it a try.

So I did some simple figure conversions, most of them simply swapping heads, replacing arms, sometimes adding a backpack, an operation that used to be tricky with the usual soft palstic used in commercial 20mm plastic figs.

And these are the results. The first are a number of Late-War Austro-Hungarians, almost all are HäT Figures, from different sets. The second is a smaller batch of Late-War Russians, all with Adrian Helmet Heads, taken from the old Airfix Set. They turned out pretty good, I think.

The glue works: the parts you stick on really... stick. The joint is stronger than the one you get with conventional cyano-acrylate glue. But this doesn't mean that the joint is super-strong. I happen to knock off a couple of heads with a careless move with my hand.

But it is a step forward!
